'live WILD'
AN EXPEDITION IN THE KNOYDART PENINSULA, SCOTLAND
"the UK's LAST REMAINING WILDERNESS"

Live wild

Running May - September

Duration: 7 to 10 days (depending on the team, needs, objectives)

Choose from: A 'basecamp model' or a journey on foot (covering 5-15k per day)

Beginning with an overnight train from London – Fort William we’ll then be based in the stunning and remote Knoydart Peninsula, Scotland. Also known as the UK’s last true wilderness.

This programme can also be delivered as a John Muir Expedition, providing students with the opportunity to learn about, and contribute to vital conservation and re-wilding initiatives on the peninsula.

On this expedition students learn self-sufficiency, working as a team to move through a stunning remote environment, while considering their roles as guardians of the planet.

'DISCOVER DARTMOOR'

Running April - October

Duration: 4-6 days (depending on the team, needs, objectives)

An entirely unique experience in one of the wildest places in the UK. From a very special basecamp students spend time exploring the remoter parts of this remarkable landscape, alongside learning about the regenerative farming movement in the area, and contributing to vital conservation work alongside the rangers of Dartmoor National Park.

The adventure culminates a truly Wild24. Taking all their learnings and personal confidence students embark on a 24hr journey through the wild lands around them. There's time to enjoy some wild swimming on the way, before making camp on a high tor and sleeping under the stars.

This adventure enables students to achieve their John Muir Discover Award.

'a WILD life'
A wild experience in the magical forests & lakes of sweden

Running May - September

Duration: 7 to 10 days (depending on the team, needs, objectives)

After catching the train from Stockholm to Gnesta we immerse ourselves in the Wild, stripping back to the bare essentials to spend three days learning to live in the environment around us.

We’ll build our own shelters, learn to forage, cook all our healthy, wholesome meals on the fire and have some fun in the surrounding lakes. We’ll learn native walking, observe the wildlife and prepare ourselves for a wilderness journey.

Part two of 'A Wild Life' sees us head out on an adventure into the wild. Using all the skills we’ve learned through the first three days we’ll find food on route, make our own temporary shelters, work as a team with the environment around us, and we’ll finish with a canoe journey along the lake that enables us to look back on the land we’ve become part of.
