Some things we're committed to in our approach to leadership:
​
We take care of guests basic needs. We’re not an expedition skills or survival company. We’re passionate about providing the basics for guests (sorting their shelter, guiding them safely, cooking their food, loving them) so that they can engage with and enjoy the best bits of adventure - being in the wild, listening and exploration.
​
All our adventures feature 2 Leaders. Why? One, for our guests - they benefit from the magic of two energies committed to facilitating their adventure, each bringing their own skills, experience and passions to the table. Each having the time to guide the team, and work with guests as individuals. And two for our leaders. By working in tandem with someone else each leader can look after themselves, be supported, be healthy, offer more quality connection with guests as individuals and therefore - and here’s the magic - provide everyone (including themselves) with a better experience!

We love empowering your passion to shape our adventures. Our journeys feature a range of magic practise such as yoga, mindfulness, coaching, journaling, foraging, wild swimming and if you’ve got a particular love of any one or more of these - or have your own stardust to sprinkle we’re keen for this passion and awareness to permeate the adventure and shape the journey our guests have in the wild

As with all outdoor leadership roles tasks throughout our different products vary. Tasks can range from making morning coffee in a wild camp for a group of adults, to encouraging young people to stop and listen to the birds.

You’ll love working with us if you’re more keen on immersion than achievement of a goal. Our guests join us because we’re all about moving slow in wild places, creating nurturing environments, and engaging in practises that bring us closer to ourselves, each other and the wild.

What you might need...
​
We're pretty rare in that all our adventures feature at least 2 leaders, regardless of guest numbers. Our approach enables leaders with different magic to support each other, and provides a richer experience for our guests. We also work in a variety of environments that require different skills and training.
​
With that in mind we're keen to hear from people who hold their Mountain Leader Award/training, Hill + Moorland Leader Award or Lowland Leader Award. We'd also love to hear from those who don't have those but do have a bunch of wild experience and/or trainings in magic like nature facilitation, forest bathing, yoga or something similar (there's a lot of trainings we don't know about so please don't be governed by this list - just tell us what you've got).

There are a few things everyone needs to lead with us

2-Day Outdoor First Aid certificate (your responsibility)
Enhanced DBS (we'll take care of this for you)
Introduction to Safeguarding Training (we'll take care of this for you)
An absolute love of connecting with other people, meeting them where they are
A passion for connecting with the natural world of which we are a part

£160 per day (or part thereof) for freelance facilitation
£60 expense contribution per contract
