About Us…

At The Living Project, we’re all about Wild adventures to inspire Life

Our philosophy is this

human and whole-planet health and wellbeing benefit from being outside

adventures in wild places inspire us to re-connect with ourselves, each other, and the planet - life!

for us, adventure (and life for that matter) can be broken down into four key elements:

challenge, reflect, refresh

grounding, security, presence

intention, ignition, passion

 confidence, connection, play

we use our passion and experience to curate Wild adventures to inspire Life

Our motto/intention is this:

"BE true. LIVE WILD"

getting involved

Initially we're looking for some support facilitating Wild adventures to inspire Life for young people and adults in wild places around the UK

This involves providing a safe, nurturing environment in which all guests feel supported, cared for and empowered on their adventure

Taking care of guests basic needs. We’re not an expedition skills or survival company. We’re passionate about providing the basics for guests (sorting their shelter, guiding them safely, cooking their food, loving them) so that they can engage with and enjoy the best bits of adventure - being in the wild, listening and self-exploration

We love empowering your passion to shape our adventures. Our journeys feature a range of magic practise such as yoga, mindfulness, coaching, journaling, foraging, wild swimming and if you’ve got a particular love of any one or more of these - or have your own stardust to sprinkle we’re keen for this passion and awareness to permeate the adventure and shape the journey our guests have in the wild

As with all outdoor leadership roles tasks throughout our different products vary. Tasks can range from making morning coffee in a wild camp for a group of adults, to encouraging young people to stop and listen to the birds

Apply if...

You’ll love working with us if you’re more keen on immersion than achievement of a goal. Our guests join us because we’re all about moving slow in wild places, creating nurturing environments, and engaging in practises that bring us closer to ourselves, each other and the wild

Likewise, you’ll probably not enjoy working with us if you’re keen to guide groups to achieve a summit or similar - that’s not really our bag

We're a small business, and we're growing. While we're initially looking for support with facilitation we're keen to hear from people open to exploring how their magic could contribute to/collaborate with the business as a whole, and be open as to where that might lead

You'll need...

Some form of mountain/walk/lowland leader/forest bathing training or similar (there's a lot of trainings we don't know about so please don't be governed by this list - just tell us what you've got)

First Aid certificate

Enhanced DBS

Training/regular practise in something you're passionate about like - yoga, mindfulness, mental health awareness, foraging, environmentalism, biology or something else - you tell us!

An absolute love of connecting with other people, meeting them where they are

A passion for connecting with the natural world of which we are a part

£150 per day for freelance facilitation

£50 expense contribution per contract
