men's wild mountain adventure

JOIN A GROUP OF like-minded men
in the wilds of ERYRI (SNOWDONIA)

a space for men to listen, connect and advance
30th JULY - 2ND AUGUST 2024
4 days, 3 nights

why men only adventures?
"A night under the magical stars, completely wild in Dartmoor, is something that will stay with me forever! The next morning we meditated on top of the rocks facing the sun and I realised at that point I was starting to feel like me again. This experience was one of the best things I have ever done. There are so many dynamics to this adventure….. from simple adventure to mindfulness. You can take from it as little or as much as you want. If you are even slightly tempted I urge you to embark on this great experience. I have made some great friends and memories and for whatever reason it was the catalyst for me finding my inner peace again. I will be eternally grateful. Thank you The Living Project!"

about the adventure

On this adventure we will be based in the heart of Eyri (Snowdonia) National Park. Our home will be a rustic bunkhouse nestled at the foot of some iconic Welsh Mountains. The bunkhouse will be our warm and safe base from which we adventure into the surrounding landscape of glaciated valleys and lakes, forested hillsides and mountain peaks.

This is a deep dive into our world experience as men. We believe each one of us has the inner wisdom and resources to face their truth and navigate life with courage and joy. We acknowledge that everyone needs a safe place and space to question and explore their truth and to examine who they are, where they have come from and where they want to head to.  At The Living Project we believe that creating a men’s circle, fostering  mindful practices and immersing in the wild provides a safe and powerful experience within which to share, listen and express our deepest needs and desires.  Our experienced facilitators support the group experience and individual process by holding a safe space that enables you to explore the wild within and without.

The weather is of course its own wild, so we plan and adapt our journey along the way to work with what is, in the safest and most magical way.

The group is limited to a maximum of 12 men with 2 male facilitators to support your journey. All you need to bring is an open mind, heart and a sense of adventure!

Our Men’s Wild Adventures are open to anyone who identifies as male.

Cormac, our co-founder, author and leader of this adventure wrote a piece about Why we feel passionately about providing this adventure for men only. Check it out here:

indicative itinerary

On arrival at our mountain base (between 14:00-15:00 on Tuesday) you will be welcomed into your mountain home and will meet your fellow adventurers. There will be time to orient yourself to the rustic surroundings and get to know your fellow guests and facilitators. A hearty and healthy meal will help create our community and set the scene for our wild adventure.

A powerful morning practice will prepare our bodies and mind and open us up to honest communication. After breakfast we'll prepare to head into the wild. As we make our way through the stunning landscapes of Eryri we take the time to stop and notice where we are. We'll have the time to reflect, and to share our experience as men in the world. There will be time for journaling, a powerful practice we will encourage. We'll return to our basecamp for the night and speak honestly about who we are and our experience, before a gratefulness practice and bed.

We continue with our daily mindfulness routine established the day before. After breakfast we prepare to head into the wild for 24 Hours. We'll be camping out in the wild, weather permitting (base camp is a bad weather alternative), and take time to experience the joy of simply living in connection with our environment. This is often a challenge if you haven't done it before, but it's a magical one - and we'll be with you every step of the way.

In the evening, after we cook for you, we'll engage with the heart of living wild, the fire, and we'll work with its powerful alchemy to inspire us. All the best chats happen round the fire! Before bed, under the stars we'll acknowledge what we are grateful for.

After a night spent sleeping under the stars we'll hydrate and begin with some powerful breath work and stretching. We'll work with  wild fresh water to awaken our mental and physical awareness through a powerful but safe cold water immersion experience.

After packing up our wild camp we will, after ensuring we leave no trace, head quietly out into the mountain scape once more. We will arrive back at our base camp on Thursday afternoon in time for lunch.

As we come to the end of our adventure we'll take the time to stop, review, and give thanks for our experience. We will offer you the opportunity to keep in contact with your new community, as we all continue our inner and outer wild work back at home, with ourselves, our loved ones and in our workplaces.

If you've got any questions, please just shout. And/or, check out what others have said about their adventure with us.
